- Background:
Tzu Chi works with Migrant Education Program-Region 16 of Monterey County Office of Education to conduct this medical outreach. This is the first time and as exploratory program that targets migrant/seasonal farm workers, young adults and low-income families at near-by towns. Over 80% of the lettuce grown in the US is grown in Salinas Valley where Greenfield, 99 miles from Tzu Chi SJ office, is one of the smallest cities in the Valley along highway 101. Carpool will be arranged as long as participants indicate clearly on their sign-up, or, even willing to be drivers. 
 
- Target medical professionals to recruit,
  MD/RNP - 2-4 Dr.
  Acupuncturist/OMD - 2-4 Dr.
  Dental - 4-7 DDS/RDH
  Chiropractor - 2 Dr.
  Nurses - 3-4
